Cheryl F. Blue

 

DG Cheryl is assistant superintendent of Plattsmouth Schools. An educator and administrator since 1968, she was a middle school and elementary principal in the school system for six years before becoming assistant superintendent in 1996. I retired in June 2006 from the Plattsmouth Schools as the assistant superintendent. I am now an Assistant Professor of Education at Peru State College in Nebraska, teaching graduates and undergraduate students.

She is active in the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce and the American Cancer Society. Cheryl has been a Rotarian since 1995. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading and travel. [Jim]

DG Tammy has been an investment representative for Edward Jones since 1989. She also works part-time as the organist at various churches. A board member of the local chamber of commerce, she is past president of Toastmasters and is active in the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. She also has held several offices in the American Legion Auxiliary. Tammy joined Rotary in 1992. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking and camping. [Gary]

DG Dick owns and operates Waverly Veterinary Clinic. He is a past district director of the Iowa Veterinary Medicine Association and past president of the Waverly Community Board. A longtime member of the Shell Rock Music Association, he also served on the organization’s board of directors. Dick has been a Rotarian since 1993. Diana Reed

DG Diana is a member of the faculty at Drake University, where she teaches management in the College of Business and Public Administration. A member of the City of Clive Chamber of Commerce, she is a past president of the Federation of Business Disciples and the Southwest Academy of Management. Diana has been a Rotarian since 1988 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Northwest Des Moines. For recreation, she enjoys golf and reading.

Maynard Bowers

DG Maynard C. Bowers is a charter member of the Marquette Breakfast Rotary Club.  He has served the club as president in 1993-1994 and again in 1996.  Other club activities include: Board of Directors, Rotary Youth Exchange Officer and various club committees.  Additionally he served District 6220 as Assistant District Governor for Area 2 from 2002-2005, Group Study Exchange Team Leader to Brazil in 2000, Group Study Exchange Chairman and Inbound Coordinator from 2000 to present, RYE Rebound Coordinator from 1997-2000, and serves on the Executive Committee.  Since the chartering of this club, Maynard, his wife Leenamari and their family have hosted a number of RYE students and many GSE team members.  Maynard is a Paul Harris Fellow and a contributor to the Polio Plus Program. He has also received the District Governor’s Citation for Leadership.  He continues his interests in traveling, photography and choral singing.   [Leenamari]

DG Mary is owner and president of MK Group Inc., a corporate catering company. Over the years, she has managed a number of other business and nonprofit organizations and departments. She is a past vice president of the Council of Independent Managers, and in 2004, served as board president of the United Cerebral Palsy Association. Mary has been a Rotarian since 1991 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Madison West Towne-Middleton. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading science fiction. [Tom]

Ted Gurzynski

DG Ted has been vice president and chief credit officer at Pyramax Bank since 2003. Working in international and commercial banking his entire adult life, he had previously been president of M and I Bank. He is an ordained deacon of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. He serves on the legislative committee of Community Bankers of Wisconsin and is treasurer of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin. Eldon Leemhuis

DG Eldon retired in 2004 as vice president and general manager of Pantrol Inc. He began his career with the electrical design company in 1966, after serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, where he was responsible for electronics and long-range radar maintenance. He is a United Way Labor of Love volunteer and serves on the Labor of Love board of directors. Since 1982, he has served annually on the Easter Seals of LaSalle/Bureau Counties Telethon Committee. DG Art is owner and president of Davis Automotive Services Ltd., which he founded in 1973. An instructor for the AAA Chicago Motor Club, he also is active in the Automotive Service Association. He serves on the board of the Naperville Chamber of Commerce and is a past president of the YMCA of Naperville. Art has been a Rotarian since 1976. His hobbies are antique cars and gardening. DG Audrey retired in 2006 from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. She had held several positions since joining the financial institution in 1962 and was account manager/financial adviser at the time of her retirement. She holds committee positions on the Chatham and district chambers of commerce, and for six years, she served as treasurer for the Lung Association. Audrey has been a Rotarian since 1996 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise. In her leisure time, she enjoys gardening. [John]

DG Ralph retired in 2002 as senior pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He joined St. Mark in 1982 after serving as pastor and mission developer at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Brunswick for 15 years. He is a member of the executive committee of the Northwestern Ohio Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He also has served on the board of the Van Wert County United Way. Bob Prevette

DG Bob is vice president of sales at Kuenkel Wagner. He served in the New York State Army National Guard. A 50-year member of the American Foundry Society, he has served on its marketing and services committee for the past 23 years. Bob has been a Rotarian since 1970 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Nordonia Hills. His hobbies include golf and gardening.[Caroline]

DG Dennis, a metallurgy researcher, retired in 2002 from Timken Research Co., where he had worked since 1982. He had served as manager of steel process development since 1986. He is a member of several metallurgy organizations including the American Society of Metals, where he has served on various committees and as national chair of the organization’s handbook committee. DG Bob was President and owner of HEC-Group, formerly known as Hamilton Executive Consultants. He established this business in 1976, and continues to enjoy consulting with manufacturing clients in Ontario, identifying technical and managerial talent for a broad range of business and industry. Bob joined Rotary in 1979. His Rotary highlights include hosting many youth exchange students over the years, leading a GSE team to Holland, being part of the district NID team to Togo, and implementing a new strategic plan for the Rotary Club of Hamilton during his term as President. DG Fred is a professor of biology at Grove City College, where he has been teaching since 1969. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania Academy of Science and the National Association Academy of Science. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania chapter of the Wildlife Society and serves on the French Creek BSA executive board. Fred has been a Rotarian since 1992. DG Denny is president and COO of All-Pak Inc., a leading container distributor. He began working for the company in 1977 as a sales representative, and along with five other managers, bought All-Pak from the company founder in1990. Since 2003, he has served as chair of the industry advisory council of the National Association of Container Distributors. He also is past president of the Chemical Association of Pittsburgh.
